Yuletide Season Featuring Cavalcade of Lights

Christmas in Toronto features light displays city-wide at the CN Tower plus concerts, skating and fireworks at Nathan Phillips Square.

Outdoor Concerts Nathan Phillips Square Toronto

Every Saturday night is a huge celebration during the month of December at Nathan Phillips Square. From 7pm to 10pm, there are free outdoor concerts featuring the following performers:

December 8th 7pm:

  • Hayley Sales: Multi-generational influences mixed with reggae, jazz and rock from this Vancouver Island based singer/songwriter. Her debut album is "Keep Driving"

December 8th 8pm:

  • Jully Black:One of Canada's most revered music stars whose rich, distinct voice delivers an infectious sense of joy. Her latest album is "Revival"

December 15th 7pm:

  • In-Flight Safety: 2007 East Coast Music Award winners deliver soaring atmospherics, plaintive lyrics and sweet-as-honey melodies. Their latest album is "the coast is clear".

December 15th 8pm:

  • The Golden Dogs: Energetic, adrenaline-charged, infectious songs complemented by rhythmic melodies from this Toronto-based pop-rock band.

Fireworks and Skating Nathan Phillips Square Toronto

December 8th and 15th 9pm:

  • After the outdoor concert, there will be a spectacular fireworks display

December 9th and 15th 9:10pm

  • Free outdoor skating hosted by popular Toronto DJs

  • December 8th: DJTricky Moreira
  • December 15th: Promise DJ's
The skating rink is open daily from 10:00am to 10:00 during winter months.

Nathan Phillips Square is wheelchair and scooter accessible. Children under 6 must wear a CSA approved helmet for skating.

Toronto Neighbourhood Bus Tour

Every Friday and Saturday until December 15th, the Cavalcade of Lights will host bus tours to view the energy efficient lighting displays in some of Toronto's neighbourhoods and tourist attractions. The tour guides will tell informative stories about Toronto along the way. Tour fee is CDN$20.00.

The tour includes visits to:

Bloor-Yorkville, Chinatown, Church-Wellesley Village, Downtown Yonge, Exhibition Place, Queens Quay Harbourfront and the CN Tower

All tours are 90 minutes with pick-up and drop-off at Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W. (corner of Bay and Queen)

Christmas at the CN Tower

A special admission price entitles visitors to see the CN Tower Winter Lights Gardens and Cavalcade of Lights Festival. The Winter Lights Gardens have been decorated by communities across Canada for this winter version of Canada's Communities in Bloom program. The gardens feature sound and light shows with lovely decorated Christmas trees along the walkway to the 50ft white spruce tree. For an additional fee, visitors can go up to the CN Tower observation deck to see a spectacular view of the lights of Toronto.

The Winter Lights Gardens are open every night until 2am until December 21st.

Numerous neighbourhoods in Toronto, such as Bloor-Yorkville, Little Italy and Greektown on the Danforth will be lit up for Christmas.
