Looking for a place to go tonight? Find some of Kingston's best pubs, restaurants and bars here!

If you’re looking for a place to go for an evening of entertainment in Kingston, Ontario, then you’ve many options. From cheap and cheerful to stylish and expensive, you can find it all in Kingston. Below is a list of the more popular places to visit in Kingston. While this list is in no way all-inclusive, it certainly covers a few of the more popular haunts and certainly, the types of places available.

The Brass Pub

Zeroing in on the Kingston Student scene, the Brass offers a special food and drink deals pretty much every day of the week. It’s filled out with alternative and popular music most of the time, which is played at a volume loud enough to hear, but not loud enough to destroy conversation. It’s not too expensive and the food is stellar. For a real treat, go on Tuesdays for wings.

Stages

Stages is the very definition of what the downtown Hub is all about. If you’re looking for young people, scantily clad women, and loud dance music, then Stages is what you’re looking for. It’s what you’d expect from a dance club in a student town. You’ll feel out of place if you’re over the age of 21 but there’s no better place if you know what you’re after.

Tir Nan Og

The Tir Nan Og pub is much further downtown, closer to the water. This Irish themed pub has fantastic (if a little overpriced) food and a European flair to its music. There is usually live music on the weekends and plenty of space to sit down. Find a spot near the fire during winter and you’ll be sold on the Tir Nan Og. Highly recommended!

The Joy Supper Club

A little more up-market than the other places on this list, the Joy Supper Club enjoys a secluded spot near the water and caters to the more refined of Kingston’s populace. The prices reflect its adult attitude toward entertainment so be warned, but remember, if you’re looking for a true escape, there is no place finer.

My Bar

On the other end of the spectrum, if you are looking for cheap drinks and pool, My Bar is likely where you’ll end up. Featuring drink related special deals, most of the week, my bar is a fantastic place for students to go to have a few drinks and forget about that last midterm.

The Kingston Brew Pub

This is the only place to get a micro-brewed draught in Kingston, and not a bad place to go to get it, either. While the food is pretty normal for pub fair, the beer excels. Prices are definitely acceptable and the specials are always amazing. Ask for the Sergeant Majors!

This is just a small selection of the huge amount of places available in Kingston. Only your feet limit you and a pub-crawl would likely take far more time than a single evening offers. If you’re a student and looking for fun, stick to the downtown hub on Princess Street and you won’t be disappointed. If you’re older or looking for something a little quieter, venture toward the water and have a look around.

Hopefully you can use this information to better enjoy the night-life in Kingston, Ontario. Make sure you behave yourself!
